I believe this issue is fixed with Smuxi 0.8.9 as it uses dbus-sharp instead of ndesk-dbus, which is known to have all kinds of issue, see #506. Can you upgrade to Smuxi 0.8.9 and check if you still experience this issue?

I have now upgradet to version 0.8.9.2 from your ppa on launchpad. I report them if the error occurs again

After 14 days came with version 0.8.9.2 no errors again. Version 0.8.10.0 runs also well
