How can I use/start the smuxi-server?

Answer
First of all, the smuxi-server must be installed and a user + password must be setup.
Currently there is no GUI to control the smuxi-server, therefore you need to define the user and password yourself in the smuxi-engine.ini file and start the smuxi-server.exe manually. For a more detailed description, please see the Server-How-To
