I have enabled Smuxi's "Beep on highlight" feature but I don't hear any beeps

Answer
For Gnome users you can enable it like this:
System --> Preferences --> Sound
Go to the tab Sound Theme and choose Sound theme Default
Now your beep should work.
P.s.: Beeps work only if the smuxi-window is inactive!
