Why does Smuxi crash suddenly when I try to start it, with the confusing message dialog saying:
** ERROR ** file corba-object.c: line 76 (ORBit_register_objref):
assertion failed: (obj->object_key != NULL)
aborting...

The cause of the problem is unknown, but it's corba/orbit (GNOME) related and did not yet appear under Linux. If you face this issue under Linux, this is what helps to bypass the problem:

delete TEMP/orbit-* and TEMP/gconfd-*

TEMP (the folder containing temporary items) is usually pointing to C:\Windows\TEMP
