This looks like a bug in DBus# as it hangs inside the DBus# library forever and blocks the GUI/main thread.
Feature #1108: Allow to modify/transform/replace/drop messages in scriptshttp://projects.qnetp.net/issues/show/11082017-07-05T06:11:31+02:00Mirco Bauer

Smuxi allows you to write scripts that react to events like receiving a message. Scripts can also execute commands like a user can do. But a script cannot modify a message or even drop it.
This can be useful for different things like transforming shortened URLs to the real URL or to detect bad messages and discard them so the user doesn't need to see them.

Specification:
a JSON serialized version of a message needs to be passed to the hook as an environment variable so that the script can inspect the original full message.
In order to modify or discard the message there needs to be a command that can be written to stdout of the script, like:
TransformMessage JSON_OF_NEW_MESSAGE
and
DiscardMessage

How this integrates with Smuxi filters feature remains to be checked.
Feature #1107: Highlight text on click nick.http://projects.qnetp.net/issues/show/11072017-07-02T10:26:16+02:00miracle red

Can we take feature:
Highlight all text from people when i click his nick in chatbox. Highlight must be persistent while i not cancel him (allow scroll all history)
Look attachment for example.
It is very usefull when lots of peoples are present on channel.
Feature #1106: Copy on selecthttp://projects.qnetp.net/issues/show/11062017-07-02T10:12:52+02:00miracle red

Can we take feature: " When you select text with the mouse , the text is automatically copied to your clipboard. " ?
Bug #1105: Smuxi's Redmine emails are still pointing to old URL/domainhttp://projects.qnetp.net/issues/show/11052017-06-05T05:51:34+02:00Andrés G. Aragoneses

Hi all.

I'm not able to compile smuxi-1.0.5 on Fedora rawhide (development branch) with mono-4.6.2.
I suspect that it's caused by a sort of incompatibility with latest version of Mono.

Build log: https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org//work/tasks/1844/17411844/build.log

Please, take a look.
Bug #1099: Don't send server password to nickservhttp://projects.qnetp.net/issues/show/10992017-01-22T23:45:22+01:00Noel Kuntze

Hello, I've observed that smuxi seems to try to auth to nickserv after connecting to the IRC server or bouncer using the defined username and password for the IRC server.
I'm using a bouncer and the credentials for my bouncer account are different from the credentials for my nickserv account. Anyway, the client should never send it to the server and try to auth against nickserv,
because not all networks support it. And it still seems to do it. When it tries do auth against nickserv, that fails and every 5 connections, nickserv kicks me for failing authentication.

I did not find a way to disable that. I don't have any commands in the fields to automatically exexcute in the options.
Bug #1098: smuxi reconnects to irc channels which were closed after a connection timeouthttp://projects.qnetp.net/issues/show/10982016-11-29T16:30:36+01:00Stepan Salenikovich

I had some channels open (some of which smuxi was configured to connect to automatically on start in the server config).

I then closed some of those channels and also removed them from the server config, but did not close smuxi.

After losing connection and then re-connecting to the irc servers, smuxi re-opened those channels.

I'm not sure if after the reconnection it should use the new server config or not, but it should at least not reconnect to the channels that I've closed, I think.

I can take a look into fixing this if you point me in the right direction.
Bug #1097: Twitter: right click on a nickname on the left panel (after doing /timeline nickname) ...http://projects.qnetp.net/issues/show/10972016-10-31T09:12:23+01:00Andrés G. Aragoneses

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a twitter chatview.
2. Issue /timeline foo command. "foo" child chatview opens.
3. Right click on the "foo" element on the left-panel tree view.

Current results:
You only see the option "Close".

Expected results:
The command "Follow" should be present in the list as well.
Feature #1096: Support for IPFS chat (distributed, serverless, not yet encrypted)http://projects.qnetp.net/issues/show/10962016-10-20T05:13:53+02:00Andrés G. Aragoneses

It would be nice to have an IPFS backend at some point: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=12719374

It's distributed, serverless. Not yet encrypted/secure though.
Bug #1094: Red line (that indicates when new unread messages start) disappears after clicking on ...http://projects.qnetp.net/issues/show/10942016-10-12T06:54:02+02:00Andrés G. Aragoneses

The red line that indicates when new unread messages start disappears after clicking on a Twitter link (those new links in the GNOME frontend that lead you to the original URL of the tweet, or maybe all links).

Expected results: it should not disappear.
Bug #1093: Right-click -> Close, on Twitter, shows pointless warning dialoghttp://projects.qnetp.net/issues/show/10932016-10-11T14:21:30+02:00Andrés G. Aragoneses

Right-click -> Close, on Twitter, shows pointless warning dialog:

"Closing the protocol chat will also close all open chats connected to it!
Are you sure you want to do this?"

This is pointless in the case of twitter because disconnecting twitter backend doesn't show any disconnection to your followers.
Feature #1092: Support for Matrix in Smuxi http://projects.qnetp.net/issues/show/10922016-07-15T17:36:33+02:00Oddvar Lovaas

It would be great to have support for Matrix (matrix.org) in Smuxi. Matrix is an open standard for decentralised communication, and is managed by Matrix.org: a nonprofit open source project acting
as the neutral custodian for the standard.

There's already quite a few clients and integrations, see http://matrix.org/docs/projects/try-matrix-now.html - and it would be great to be able to also talk to matrix-users via Smuxi.
Bug #1090: smuxi quits by itself when in the backgroundhttp://projects.qnetp.net/issues/show/10902016-06-20T23:41:27+02:00liam dawe

On Ubuntu Mate 16.04 Smuxi keeps quitting without me telling it too:

Caught this in terminal

(smuxi-frontend-gnome:6348): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_tree_store_get_path: assertion 'iter->user_data != NULL' failed

(smuxi-frontend-gnome:6348): Gtk-CRITICAL **: IA__gtk_tree_model_get_iter: assertion 'path != NULL' failed

That's all I got when noticing it had vanished.

Latest version from PPA.
Bug #1089: Smuxi hangs at exithttp://projects.qnetp.net/issues/show/10892016-02-13T13:08:38+01:00Vsyache Puz

1. File -> Quit
2. Smuxi hangs
